This is  a spare kit...when purchasing the Blichmann weldless brewmometer or rotating angle brewmometer you will get these parts supplied with the thermometer

includes a silicone o-ring and nut for a weldless version. Simply drill your hole, add the o-ring and washer to the outside of the kettle, tighten the nut on the inside, and you are good to go.
